IL PORTICCIUOLO

This summer wasn’t the best so far, so much work ( which is actually a good part for a workaholic as me ) and a lot of unsuccessful plans and unhappy events. But at the end of august we finally managed to go out of all of this and went for a trip. You know, those moment when your trip is not just for pleasure but it’s a necessary thing to live better, switch off, from the routine, go away from problems and find the inspiration and just be surrounded by positive vibes.

So this holiday was necessary for us and decided pretty last minute as all the trip we do. This time we didn’t opted for a far destination, but stayed in our country, Italy.

One thing I have to say and I said so many times, that Italy is so far the best country in the world, and I couldn’t be happier to live here. There is so much to see and all is so close to each other. But in all these years spent in here, I never been in south, the far I went was Rome.

So this time, very spontaneously went the decision to stay here and go to Sicily, more specifically to a magic Island called Favignana.

At my first impression, Favignana was different form what I was expecting from Sicily. No opulence at all, no Dolce & Gabbana vibes but just a little village with simple white/ beige houses, but so vibrant and colorful on the streets with many people and simple happy vibes around.

The first morning we woke up early and went to the little port, when the tourists arrive everyday and where the cutest little boats are parked. I fell in love with it, and you can totally feel how pretty it was to be there looking to these images.

We had a walk, and had the first bite of this magic island which started to steal our hearts.

I packed with me so many cute looks and I was craving to wear this dress since I got it from Shopbop. Unfortunately it went sold out, but this dress is made of the same material and it’s also on sale. But actually this brand was a total discover to me, and now I’m really into their autumn pieces, this skirt is so good!

I’ve been looking for long time for a cute summer sandals, and these with golden stars are soo cute that I couldn’t resist to them, they match perfectly with every look as the gold shade is not strong and they are very comfortable. ( there is also a flower version of the shoes )

The foulard is an items I’m wearing non stop, tied on the ponytail or chignon, on the bag or as a belt. This polka dot one got my attention immediately, probably connected to my recent polka dot obsession I was talking here.
