This year we promised ourselves that this year we will spend more time in Italy and will try to explore it as much we can!
Many times I told you how beautiful is this country, and how beautiful is every its corner, every city and region! And even if we’ve been in a pretty many places there is always something new to see.
This past weekend we decided to organize an autumn getaway and found a very beautiful lake we never been before, lake Iseo close to Brescia. The weather gets colder in these days and more gloomy, but despite that we truly enjoy our stay as such a weather by the lake has totally a special vibe, more melancholic, nostalgic but also very romantic and coming from a fairy tale.
We wanted the best view over the lake possible so we found a very beautiful and charming hotel Rivalago, with such a cool outside garden and an breathtaking view over the lake even from the bed! During our stay we met the family who own and keep the the hotel as family business and we really could feel all the love and effort they put into the hotel.
We didn’t wanted to do too much, as our plan was relaxing as much as we can, so we spent hours in the garden sipping a hot tea and overlooking the lake cuddled in a soft grey fog. While the day after we woke up pretty early and inspired by the warm sun we took a boat which was just next to our hotel and went to the island Montisola.
The island is very big and we had a long walk on the lake side which offers an amazing view and atmosphere.
Just a few months ago the artists Christo realized a wonderful installation with a golden floating bridge connecting Sulzano and Montisola.
Later in the afternoon the hotel surprised us with a celebrating party of autumn, with fire everywhere, pumpkins , mulled wine and cozy blanked to cuddle while roasting marshmallows. The evening was so perfect and magic! And yes, I had my first roasted marshmallow, and it was so good! Ahha, I couldn’t stop to eat them!
We truly enjoyed our week weekend and was so happy to discover a new wonderful place of Italy!
