I promise guys that at one point this travel diary from our Provence on the road, will be over, but for now we still having some road to drive trough.
We are almost at the end, and here is a little recup of the beginning if you missed it:
first part with lavander fields, sunflowers and the cities of Gourdon and Castellaine
second part with Rousillon and the incredible Gorde
and now here we are ready for the beauty of Avignon, Arles and St.Remy
Avignon
We spent there just a few nights in an incredible house we found on airbnb, it was on three different levels with a little garden where we had an afternoon tea with the owner. He told us that he moved there because of this house, he simply fell in love with it and decided to stay there for the rest of his life in company of a cat who was already living there when he bought it!
The city is a very mysterius place expecially if you know all the story behind and it’s know mostly for the papacy. The historic center is very beautiful and vivid, full of people expecially in the period of the Festival d’Avignon. the center with Palais des Papes, the cathedral, and the Pont d’Avignon are UNESCO Heritage site.
St.Remy
I fell in love with this little village, filled with an extremely high number of little shops. This is exatly how I’ve imaginated being a typical Provence village, and it was a blust having a walk there, super quick cause we had to leave for Arles.
But we made a comback just the day after to meet there one of the girls I met on instagram, a real sunshine babe called Sveta who showed me the best places of the city. We bought lavander and little pumpkins to decorate our house by the sea, ate delicious desserts while listening the music and tried so many treats in the food shops. In meantime Pier were driving back to Avignon cause as always he forgot something, haha.
Arles
Arles wasn’t so far from St.Remy, absolutely not, but it has a totally different atmosphere. It seems to be in Spain!

Gorgeous pictures (that light!) and fantastic trip. I’ve always wanted to make a road trip in Provence but I never seem to find the right moment!
