I still remember my first fashion week. It was in February in a very cold Milano with foggy morning…
At that time Pier and I we’ve been shooting for Paper Magazine, a mix of streetstyle and models off duty. I’ve been so excited to be there, I was shaking and thrilling even if I was just shooting outside.
As that time, about 6 years ago, I still very excited for the upcoming fashion week, but with different feelings. So much changed from that season. I was taking it very easy, dressing up comfy, and doing my job, but then after just 3 days of fw, I was noticed by Scott Schuman aka The Sartorialist, and also for many magazines and other blogs. He loved my style and posted a few of my photos on his blog, which was like a bible of streetstyle. That was exactly the moment when everything changed, I realized that I and my style were getting much more attention than my photography. For a couple of seasons I tried to do my work for Paper Mag and I truly loved what I was doing, but at some point I had to choose if to concentrate on my photography or my style and I opted for the second one. And this is the story of how I ended up on my first fashion week.
Ever season from that point got more and more excited, more friends, more shows and works. And now, I’m really proud to tell you that this time I’m the Bijou Brigitte ambassador for the fashion week!
I’m truly excited for this also cause this BB is very close to me. I used to buy their jewelry from a very young age, when I was just 15. They opened their store in my city and the first time I went there i felt like in paradise, cause always I’ve been a huge fan of bijou and their collection was so huge and full of beautiful pieces for every price and taste!
I got a pair of chandelier earrings with butterflies, I hope I still have them in my box!
For the first day, which was for me mostly about appointment and meeting I’ve opted for a colorful vintage Guy Laroche dress ( I wore it in Rome too ) and a beautiful geometric earrings and a little shiny cross from BB.
