In a messy studio full of drawings, a painter is ready to paint on his new canvas… a Peony, sitting in the middle of the room surrounded by other flowers. The peony is bright and vibrant, it’s a women.
I thought a lot about how to introduce you to the new release signed by Maison Christian Dior, Holy Peony, a beautiful new scent part of Les Exclusifs with notes of red fruits, peony, apricot rose and a bit of wood and musk.
It’s a particular scent, sweet, fruity and floral but with a character, apparently simple and easy to decode but not. The words of the in-house perfumer François Demachy were to me the key to read it correctly and gives me an inspiration to this editorial we shoot to present you the new Dior scent.
“Composing Holy Peony was like painting a portrait of a visibly charming woman. This peony was created in a floral and fruity trompe l’oeil style, with the inviting sparkle of red fruit. It is avid for light and its apricot Rose conveys its round feminine curves. It is a fragrance draped in the lightest woods and musks, which give it an amber charm. It is as fresh as the flower’s green leaves and as dazzling as its red petals. Holy Peony is a luminous scent, like a rose without thorns, soft, yet confident.”
In a messy studio a women is sitting in the middle surrounded by the other flowers and paintings and a new canvas is ready for the painter. He is ready to draw the lines of this delicate flower. There are roses, lilium, tulips, gardenias and more, but there is only one Peony dressed in a bright pink dress so vibrant as the notes of red berries, her curves are soft as the apricot rose note and she is strong and mysterious as the wooden notest of the scent.
